DR. ARNOLD LEITNER
Dr. Arnold Leitner lives in Ridgefield, CT with his wife Laura. Their daughter Melanie is a student at Indiana University. Dogs are represented by Bruno the Bernese Mountain Dog and a Husky named Inuk who thinks he is really a wild wolf with just a little bit of dog in him. Dr. Leitner worked in small animal practices as an associate in Washington D.C. and Norwalk, CT. before going into practice with Dr. Jeffrey Hubsher at South Salem Animal Hospital. In 1992, Dr. Leitner with his Bernese Mountain Dog organized and participated in an animal companion program at Ballard Park in Ridgefield, CT to allow people confined to their houses to have canine companionship. Dr. Leitner is an active member of the AVMA, CVMA, AVDS, FCVMA, and NYVMA and participates annually in the continuing accreditation program that NYVMA sponsors. Dr. Leitner graduated veterinary school in 1980. His special interest is internal medicine of dogs and cats, as well as pediatrics (he likes puppies.) Besides being a vet almost 24 hours a day he enjoys golf, skiing, and basketball. |

DR. JEFFREY S. HUBSHER
Dr. Hubsher has been in practice since 1980. Originally from Brooklyn, NY he now lives on a farm in Ridgefield, CT with his wife, Lauren and daughters Sierra and Willow as well as horses, dogs and a cat, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, a donkey, a pig, a parrot, finches, and gold fish Ever since he stopped wanting to be a cowboy at age seven, Dr. Hubsher wanted to be a veterinarian. Dr. Hubsher loves being a veterinarian. He is a General Practitioner and his goal is to provide extraordinary proactive veterinary care in all aspects of his practice. In addition he has a special interest in veterinary dental care and ear diseases for dogs and cats. Because Dental and Ear disease is such a common problem for out pets Dr. Hubsher is committed to advanced training and has purchased specialized equipment to better help his furry friends. Dr. Hubsher also provides care for birds, reptiles, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, pot bellied pigs, pet goats and sheep. When not working, Dr. Hubsher and his family enjoy traveling horseback riding, surfing, and skiing. Dr. Hubsher and his wife Lauren honeymooned in the Amazon Jungle and on a trip to Nepal he treated an ailing elephant. |
